There are robust replies from the Chairman and Secretary on the SAA Website, in answer to the VC's recent letter arranging an EGM. These make a statement on the validity of this EGM and cover the points made in the VC's letter. They are having a council meeting on this later this month. No doubt we will hear more.

Don't forget to bring along one of your 'scale'  models for Sun 6th May at the club. This is a SAA event. Everyone is most welcome. The idea is to encourage people to try 'scale'. The entry level is open to everyone and ARTF's are most acceptable. It does not have to be a warbird. Be prepared to fly a short schedule that is appropriate to you model (Alex K will keep us right). Something along the lines of 5 mins with three separate manoevers. Prizes! Start time is 10:00 am

Hopefully we will see some nice scale models as well. These will be flying the full scale schedule.

Some members have asked about flying non scale models. Oh dear oh dear! The short answer is No, but come along and have a look. If its quiet or the weather is poor then yes no problem.

Hamilton Model flying Club has planned a fun fly weekend on the 4th and 5th of August where all RC flyers  are invited to fly off the peg

An area is available to set up your tent or park your caravan if you wish to stay over on Saturday, with both male and female toilets on site. Our runway is exceptionally long so should you fly larger models you will have ample room with the runway running west to east. We also have a cross runway, should the wind shift off the prevailing westerly.

Anyone wishing to fly will have to bring proof of Insurance (SAA, BMFA, LMA).

The flying starts at 10am both days and doesn’t stop until you have had enough!
